My Creative Journey: From Graphic Design to Illustration
My career as a professional graphic designer started over 20 years ago. Since then, I have worked on a diverse range of creative projects for the NHS and local businesses throughout Calderdale and West Yorkshire.
I love helping ambitious start-ups launch with confidence. I create everything from shiny new logo designs and matching business stationery to eye-catching social media graphics and complete marketing portfolios.
Alongside my graphic design services, I have expanded my artistic portfolio to include custom watercolour illustrations, digital art commissions, and surface pattern design. My patterns are available for licensing across home decor, wall art, fabrics, stationery, packaging, and phone cases.
Inspired by Nature, Patterns, and Everyday Life
When I am not working on client branding, my surface patterns and illustrations are deeply inspired by my love of nature, my ever-growing garden, and weekend trips away in our caravan.
Every now and then, a major event sparks a burning desire to create something completely unique. For instance, I designed a special collection of commemorative patterns and a unique tea towel to mark the Coronation of King Charles III. After all, a British celebration isn't complete without the obligatory tea towel!
I love experimenting with different mediums, including digital illustration, watercolours, and gouache. I am constantly pushing my creative boundaries and discovering new styles to bring your visual projects to life.
